While this week both the House and Senate are on recess, last week the Senate HELP Committee began the process of meeting to discuss and ultimately pass the Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA).

An Illinois bill, mandating that the pharmaceutical industry fund a product stewardship program for the collection and destruction of unused, unwanted, or expired drugs, was passed out of the legislature and will be transmitted to Governor J.B. Pritzker for signature.
