The third and final day of our Self-Care Leadership Summit (SLS) started with a “fun run” hosted by CHPA’s Educational Foundation. Tuesday's programming kicked off with a presentation by Nielsen IQ on how industry can approach sustainability for self-care categories. This session followed a panel discussion on how sustainability has become front and center in U.S. state legislatures, as well as many countries around the world, which was moderated by CHPA’s Senior Vice President, Legal, Government Affairs & Policy, David Spangler, and included the following panelists: Daniella Foster, Executive Board Member & SVP Public Affairs, Science and Sustainability, Bayer Consumer Health, Carlos Gutierrez, Vice President, State & Local Government Affairs, CHPA, and Jurate Švarcaite, Director General, AESGP.
Attendees also enjoyed a discussion with presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize winning author, John Meacham, which was moderated by Scott Melville, CHPA's President and CEO, Michelle Wang Goodridge, President, US Self Care, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., and CHPA’s newly elected Board Chair Lisa Paley, President, North America, Haleon.
Lisa was elected to serve as Chair of CHPA’s Board of Directors at our annual membership meeting held during SLS. She has been a standing member of CHPA’s Board since March 2019 and succeeds previous Chair Michelle Wang Goodridge, who will continue to serve on the Board as immediate past chair.
