(WASHINGTON, DC – August 5, 2022) Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration & Chief Financial Officer, Brian Green, CPA, CAE, has been named the 2022 Association CFO of the Year by Association TRENDS, one of the most prestigious honors in the association community. Each year, the CFO Awards recognize the outstanding leadership of CFOs and the important work they do for nonprofits as key supporters of boards, executives, senior teams, and staff to keep organizations fiscally sound and moving forward strategically.

Specifically, the annual Association TRENDS Association CFO Award is given to an outstanding non-profit CFO currently making a vital contribution to the leadership of a well-recognized association, as right hand of the CEO, someone who has impact on the performance of the whole organization and whose stature enables them to serve as an example of all that is best in the association world.

“I am so honored to receive this award and proud to be a part of the CHPA family,” said Green. “But most association CFO’s don’t do it for accolades, they do it because they have a passion for the nonprofit mission and the people they serve, and I’m no different.”

“We at CHPA are so pleased that Brian’s professional and personal excellence has been recognized so publicly,” said Scott Melville, CHPA president and CEO. “Now the rest of the association community knows what all of us at CHPA have known for some time, that Brian is an innovator, a savvy financial and operational strategist, a tech embracer, and a dedicated and loyal colleague.”

At CHPA since 2014, Green has directed finance management, human resources, information technology, and administration functions. Green previously served as vice president and chief financial officer for the Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) for nearly a decade where he was responsible for the overall operations and oversaw the organization’s research and designation programs. He spent his early career in public accounting including three years with Deloitte & Touche LLP, and eight years as the director of finance for CHI Centers, a non-profit organization committed to serving adults with developmental disabilities. Green is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Society of Association Executives. Green is a licensed certified public accountant, a chartered global management accountant and a certified association executive.

Green will be formally presented with the award at an in-person luncheon ceremony on October 13th in Washington, DC. Visit www.NonprofitCFOAward.comto learn more.
