CHPA continues to closely monitor the rapidly-evolving Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.
Based on the latest public health information available to us, CHPA is moving forward and holding the Annual Executive Conference as scheduled on March 22-24 in Orlando, Florida. We are tracking daily developments and will adjust plans if necessary to ensure the safety of our attendees.
As an organization, CHPA is working with the Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes and together we will be taking the following steps onsite:
- Increasing the rate of cleaning in public areas like public bathrooms, elevator buttons, railings, door handles and more
- Sanitizing stations throughout the hotel and conference center
- Training all onsite staff and associates on standard infection-control measures
- Adhering to advice from the CDC, WHO and other health authorities; respecting travel restrictions where they exist
- Placing signage onsite reminding attendees of hygiene recommendations, including the use of hand sanitizers and frequent handwashing
Our top priority remains protecting the health and safety of our employees, members, and the community in accordance with the latest guidance from global health agencies and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
