Director, Marketing Communications
Mary Leonard leads the development and implementation of CHPA's association integrated marketing communications programs and initiatives. She provides strategic direction to the association's overall brand strategy through print, digital, and new media platforms elevating awareness about CHPA’s programs and strengthening relationships with external audiences.
Leonard serves as editor-in-chief for CHPA’s member communications, social media channels, website content, creative development for promotional materials, video production, and integrated print and digital strategies for CHPA events and educational programming, including dedicated microsites and mobile applications.
She also produces executive-level communications, including speeches, talking points, presentations, and CHPA’s Annual Report.
Prior to joining CHPA, Leonard led the marketing programs for Associated Builders and Contractors and Healthcare Distribution Management Association, both trade associations in the DC/Metro area.
Leonard lives in Arlington, Va., with her husband, Joe, and her son, Owen. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and the American Society of Association Executives.
