2019 OTC Marketing Award Finalists & Grand Prize Winners

On November 12, 2019, the CHPA Educational Foundation recognized 15 finalists – and revealed 5 grand prize winners – for the foundation’s new U.S. OTC Marketing Awards, recognizing first-in-class OTC marketing campaigns of CHPA member companies and their trusted brands. The awards recognize exemplary campaigns in corporate social responsibility, innovation on small and large budgets, digital marketing, and product launch.

A diverse panel of judges anonymously scored the nominations and selected three finalists in five categories. View the 2019 judging panel.

The Categories

Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign
Judges looked for a campaign that raised awareness or positive sentiment towards a health-related cause/issue in an authentic and effective way.

OTC Digital Campaign
Judges looked for a campaign that showcased one or more digital channels (video, mobile, social media, influencers, etc.) to achieve objectives with the successful delivery of high-quality creative content in the right place, at the right time.

Innovative Marketing Campaign of the Year on a Budget of Less than $5M
Judges looked for a campaign that effectively used a total marketing spend of less than $5M to deploy novel targeting, creative execution, and content marketing strategies to achieve objectives.

Innovative Marketing Campaign of the Year on a Budget of More than $5M
Judges looked for a campaign that effectively used a total marketing spend of more than $5M to deploy novel targeting, creative execution, and content marketing strategies to achieve objectives.

OTC Launch of the Year
Judges looked for a new product launch that solved an unmet consumer need through state-of-the-art product innovation and a novel go-to-market strategy to drive performance and achieve objectives.
