Travis Gibbons joined CHPA
in the summer of 2010. His primary areas of focus include advocating federal
legislation on behalf of member organizations, monitoring federal legislation
pertinent to over-the-counter medicines and nutritional supplements, and
managing the CHPA Political Action Committee (CHPA-PAC).
joining CHPA, Gibbons worked for Jordan & Associates, where he was
responsible for representing clients before members of Congress, monitoring
the latest news and proceedings on Capitol Hill, and reporting on legislative
and regulatory issues affecting his clients.
A native of Ogden, Utah,
Gibbons began his career working for U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah)
handling a broad range of legislative issues, including defense, homeland
security, the federal budget, appropriations, and tax and trade policy. While
working for Senator Hatch, Gibbons drafted legislative initiatives and
speeches, met with constituent groups on behalf the Senator, and monitored
issues affecting the state of Utah.
